Where I Shop: My Favorite Places to shop for the Client Wardrobe and My Own Closet
I get asked about wardrobe a lot, both where I find things for the client wardrobe and where I find things for myself. So here's the list (not sponsored, no affiliate links). My personal wardrobe runs heavily toward linen, cottage core, things that feel good in summer heat, and are versatile. There's a lot of overlap with what ends up in sessions, which should surprise exactly no one.

Ann.Tique on Instagram Small independent maker with a dark romantic sensibility. Pieces go quickly, worth following.
Etsy You have to learn which makers to trust, but once you find a good one it's worth going through their whole shop.
Armstreet Real leather and metal, great craftmanship, and their pieces hold up through years of sessions. Some of my favorite dresses are from this shop.
Vetch & Clover UK maker with a really beautiful organic aesthetic. Especially good for chemises and corsets.
Costurero Real Historical and fantasy garments with impressive construction. One of the Etsy shops I come back to regularly.
Local
Myth Makers Society Makers Markets Markets featuring independent artists making fantasy and handcrafted goods. I always find something I didn't know I needed. Follow them for upcoming dates.
Maryland Renaissance Festival Worth going just for the shopping if you've never been. The good vendors are really good and I've found pieces there that have lasted me years.
